Worth VPN is an independent affiliate guide. We explain which privacy layer a product protects, where its limits begin, and which facts readers should verify at checkout.
Why this site exists
VPNs, password managers, and encrypted storage are often sold under one broad promise: “privacy.” That framing makes it easy to buy the wrong tool. We separate the products by job—connection, credential, and file—then describe the use case and tradeoffs in plain language. Worth VPN is an editorial publication; it does not operate a VPN service or process Nord subscriptions.
Our research method
- Start with the reader's risk. We define the problem before evaluating the product.
- Use primary sources. Material claims are checked against current official product, feature, platform, pricing, press, and support pages.
- Distinguish stable facts from volatile offers. Subscription prices, discounts, bundles, and renewal terms belong at the current official checkout rather than frozen in an old article.
- State the boundary. Every review explains what the product cannot replace.
- Date the work. Material reviews and guides show when their sources were last checked.
What we do not claim
We do not present this research as a controlled security audit, penetration test, or long-term hands-on performance lab. We do not invent speed measurements, anonymous user counts, numerical scores, or personal experience. Product security is not an absolute guarantee, and each reader's threat model is different.
